New monitor says no signal

hello iv got a dell flat screen monator and its has an hdmi cable and a blue cable but i got a veiw sonic monator screen and i connected the blue cable to it and the power cord but its showing a blue screen says no signal? NEED ADVICE please

Double check your connections.

Disconnect the blue cable and check if it shows the same screen then check the cable is connected to the cpu correctly or not
