Hi! I just got a brand new monitor (This one https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PmyFf7/acer-monitor-umfg6aab01 ) and noticed some blue pixels in dark areas of the screen (Picture : https://imgur.com/mz8yx3p ). I'm using a DVI cable, all monitor specs can be found in link so please check there for those. At first I thought it was a Steam glitch (saw it there first) but then I noticed it in a game. It seems like the Monitor's bad and i'll have to send it back, but I figured I should check here to see if it could be a monitor setting or something.

Yeah that's a pretty good idea. Only reason i'm not a big fan of it is because I live an hour away from town so i'd have to make that drive. I'll see what I can find though, won't hurt to have one spare just in case.

Actually, it seems I'll have to go into town tomorrow anyways so I'll grab another cable and see what's up. If that doesn't work then I'll probably send it in despite the fact that 120 and 144 isn't too different just cause I'm a bit of a perfectionist... 😛

Update: New cable procured I plugged it in, at first it seemed to have fixed it but upon poking around it seemed it only lessened the issue. Below is a video (Ft. a Squeaky Chair and Noisy Fan) of me in photo shop zooming in and observing the effect on a game screen shot I took, first I had it at 144Hz and zoomed in to show the issue, then went to 120Hz just to illustrate that it only happens on 144Hz. I guess the monitor's bad, I'm going to go check it out on another PC I'll update as to the results afterwards.
