New monitor supports 75hz but can't find it in display settings

Hey guys I just picked up an LG 24mp60vq from Costco for $110. I am replacing my ASUS vw246h with it.

My system:
CPU: Intel i5-6400
GPU: Zotac Gtx1060 6gb AMP! Edition
Mobo: ASRock Z170 Pro4S
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series (2x4GB) DDR4 at 2800
SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 240gb
HDD: WD Blue 1tb 7200rpm

Anyways, I purchased that monitor from Costco after research that it was a 1920x1080 IPS panel with 5ms GTG and 75hz refresh rate. Well when I got home I noticed that I cannot get it to run 75hz refresh rate on either windows or nvidias' display settings. If I try to do custom resolution on the nvidias display settings it shows "HDMI out of range." Just wondering what am I doing wrong?

I was originally going to purchase either the LG lg 27mp58vq-p from Costco.com (LED IPS 75hz 5ms $155), the BenQ GL2760H (LED TN 60hz 2ms $150), or the Acer g277hl (LED IPS 4ms 60hz $150). But I ended up getting the 24mp60vq for $110 locally just to try it out since it was on sale at Costco and the other two are not here locally.

I'm trying to keep my budget within the $150ish range, any suggestions? I try my best to keep electronics locally for easy exchanges etc, but if I need to buy online I will. I would like to use IPS since i'm not too competitive but I do love my first person shooters like PUBG, and CS:GO. Thanks!

Yeah, I've updated to the latest drivers.

Note: the 27mp58vq-p and 24mp60vq that I have I believe are the exact same monitor except the screen size (27" compared to the 24") and if that's the case and I cannot get them to 75hz then ill look into the benQ vs the Acer instead.

Sometimes companies put 75hz but it's only for lower res. It should say hz and res profiles in the manual and also what port to use.

Thanks! Well after further investigation it shows 1280x1024 is the highest res to support 75hz (online manual). Since thats out of the equation, what should i do then? Get the BenQ, or the Acer? I really love this monitor to be honest. I just wished it was 27" haha but I don't know if the extra 3" is worth the extra $40.

75hz is too small of a increase to be noticeable over 60hz anyways. Honestly these cheap ips should be avoided as they have worse ips glow which ruins dark scenes or playing in a dark room. And they really aren't much different in visual quality than tn. 27" 1080p is not recommended unless you sit farther away or are fine with bigger pixels. You could take a look at the same size and res monitor locally just to make sure it's fine for you.

I'd recommend looking for a va monitor. They offer much better black levels and thus static contrast ratios which will look better than any ips or tn. I can't find much info about this BenQ but it looks like it did just come out last month and is an update of their GW2470H. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014441

Do you know if they have a 27" version? I'm still debating if I want to stick with 24" or go up to 27". I really haven't noticed any difference from going to a 2ms TN panel to a 5ms IPS panel.

Response times on paper are irrelevant as they are best possible with overdrive and not what you'd get in the real world without terrible inverse ghosting. Plus 60hz is 16ms per frame. You'd want it a little faster so it won't ghost but around 8ms average is all you really need for 60hz. With all the marketing and non regulation, you can't even trust the specs. You can only know the real response times from pro reviews that test it.
