I currently have a Dell U2312HM and a GTX 660. My birthday's in April, and I want to upgrade either one of these. Upgrading a monitor is something that you don't do very often, as opposed to a new GPU (my 660 is barely 2 years old). I have tested performance at 1440p and there really isn't a game (that I tested and own) that I can't run at that resolution- albeit with lower settings.

In that case, i would start by getting a new...

Yeah, that's the thing- I feel like I could use more pixels to work with and a larger screen, but also better performance on the GPU side of things.

I know, for 1080p it's an awesome monitor. According to TFTCentral, it has an avergae response time of only 0.6 ms. Colours and contrast are nice too. http://

In that case, i would start by getting a new monitor (1440p or whatever resolution you like). THEN you can see how the GPU is handling that resolution and maybe update later. It's easier to choose a GPU for a monitor than choosing a monitor for a GPU. 🙂

I don't know qnix actually, but it looks nice on paper. If you know the brand, go for it :-D 🙂 I don't know if it fits your budget, but i recommend Eizo. I got EV2455 - only 1200p and 24" so maybe not for you, but the quality is amazing, the image quality is better than everything i've seen and the bezels are the thinnest on the market 🙂

Yeah, seems really nice. You're right about the budget though- I could buy 3 Qnix's for that price XD

Wow, that is expensive 😱 In Denmark, the price is less than 300$!
