Hi Gys/Gals,
I just bought a new samsung gaming monitor and found it has no DVI cable connector.
I will be running it with a GTX 690 card which it's outputs are only 3xDVI and one mini DP port.
What is going to be the best way to connect this up?
I guess the options are these three only...
DVI to HDMI
DVI to DP
MiniDP to DP
Which is likely to be a better option here? THe new monitor has a refresh rate of 144hz but only if used through DP. I am unsure if Mini DP to normal DP will be compatible with that rate. If not then I guess DVI to DP cable adapter running at 60hz will have to suffice.
Note: I currently run DVI-DVI at 60hz on a 22" dell monitor and the only reason i got a new one is for a bigger 24"display. I didnt actually have a clue about the refresh rates initially so im not massivley fussed what its running at so long as works.
thanks in advance
