New Monitor worked fine at first, now it's finicky and doesn't work properly

Just got a new U3415W from Dell in today, super excited, I set it up and it worked great. I even clocked it to 80Hz no problem. That is until I tried starting Overwatch and when I put it in fullscreen, the screen started flickering grey and I restarted my computer and it was working fine again, still on 80Hz. I tried a second time, being more careful about how I applied the resolution in game and the same thing happened. Only this time, when I restarted my computer, it was still doing the grey screen. I eventually booted in safe mode to uninstall the drivers and install the newest version to which it seemed to work again, but now putting it on 80Hz causes the flickering. It's extremely weird/finicky because when I tried 70Hz, it worked for 10ish seconds before cutting to the grey, but the top row of pixels was still working. I tried a new HDMI cable, reverting back to the older drivers I had before, and resetting the settings on the monitor to no avail.

see if there any firmware updates some tomes there are some to fix bugs.
