I think its time to move on to 1440p, ive been told the difference is well worth it. However, do i go 1440p 144hz? does the frequency matter? also, what are some decently priced monitors that offer this upgrade? Dont have a budget but i want good value. Thanks. Also, im running a 980ti with i5 4690k and 16gb ram. But will be upgrading to the new ryzen 9 when it releases but keeping the gpu i think. Thanks

What types of games do you play?

Budget?

If you play FPS and fast-paced games then 1440P/144hz+ would be a good choice however if your into less competitive, single player or MMO's and if they support 21:9 I'd go 34/35" 3440x1440P/VA/100hz.

My budgets $1,000 (can flex up or down a bit)
I play League of Legends mainly.. I am currently plat2 trying to get to diamond.. so Im more competitive oriented you could say.

What do you suggest for that?

Thanks, I like the look of this monitor so far... Im assuming netflix/ movies would look pretty dope on this screen as well?

Also, My current PC setup includes 1 HD powercolor7950 and an Intel i5-4670k cpu. Is this good enough to run this type of monitor?

Thanks again, this 1 is on the top of my list right now... trying to pull the trigger on 1 soon!
i play on an old hdtv 32" atm... think its like 720p... Lmfao

I had a 1080p monitor, 3 of them actually each 240hz, but I chose to get an ultrawide monitor, I picked up the LG 34GK950F which is 3440x1440 144hz 1ms but it's 1.1k GBP. It's pretty good even though its expensive. But, it needs aa really beefy PC, you have a i5 and 980ti, I don't know how good that is in 2019, a 980ti is similar to a 1070 apparently and if it is then you should be good with a ultrawide. While I was thinking about which monitor to buy I basically looked at 2560x1440 monitors and ultrawides. If I had 500 I'd go for one of these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-S2716...ds=2560x1440&qid=1559249358&s=gateway&sr=8-35 - Everything you wanted, 144hz 1ms, 1440p but 16:9

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FCM5WXF/ref=psdc_428652031_t5_B01784K78A - Similar to the dell but curved

If you bump your budget to around £750 which you honestly should because ultrawides are fire, get this: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...-x34p-340-3440x1440-120-hz-monitor-umcx0eep01

£750 seems like a lot but you get a bigger screen, 120hz, an ips panel, you feel more involved in the game and you just have a better time overall, your call but those are what i'd get
