Hey all... Tom's has the Monoprice 28" CrystalPro 4K rated as 2015 Editor Recommended Hardware.

Monoprice has updated its 28" 4k display to have a matte finish, displayport 1.2, and only 1 HDMI port for US$399. Seems a great price, but I'm wondering if it's an upgrade or downgrade from the CrystalPro.

Is a review in the works?

It isn't an IPS panel, but still a good performer. If you are next to a light source (window or bright lighting), then maybe the 27" IPS 4k display is a better option...

Thanks for the input sadams04. I read the CrystalPro 28" review from start to finish, and decided on this display based on the review.

I'm just wondering if the new model is an upgrade from the old model (both TN panels), and whether Tom's will do a review on the NEW 28" model.

Seems like it might be the right thing to do since they're recommending the old model (the review you linked to above).
