New Motherboard - AGP vs PCI-X

I am in the process of updating my second computer. Budget is a concern and this machine only needs to be powerful enough to run WOW or EVE.

The real quandery is that I already own two very good AGP video cards. I really have no need to update these. However, nearly all of the current Motherboards being sold are PCI-Express only. Buying one of these would require me to purchase a new PCI-X Video card and add $200-$350 USD to the price of the upgrade.

Current 2nd Computer:

ABIT - KG7 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 1700+ TB Procecessor
256MB DDR Memory (2x)
ATI Radeon - 9800 Pro

Was originally going to match my 1st Computer's setup, but I can't seem to locate the motherboard for a decent price since it's discontinued.

ABIT - AV8 Motherboard
AMD Athlon64 3200+ Venice Procecessor
512MB DDR Memory (2x-Matched Pair)
ATI Radeon - 9800 Pro

Total desired spending budget <= $400.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

you don'y need a new mobo

Really? You don't think that a ABIT - KG7 w/ AMD Athlon 1700+ isn't horribly outdated? I built this system like four years ago.

Ideally, I was thinking that I could get away with only updating the MB, Ram, and Processor. However, it seems that I should just bit the bullet and get a PCI-X Motherboard add a new Graphics card to the budget.

Any more thoughts?

I would bite the bullet and go PCIx, however for the budget you can always got with a 745 socket type, you'll be limited as far as max cpu speed goes compaired to 939.

If you want to spend 400 exactly, you'll be a little tight, but could get a set up that will have enough money for some value ram (3200 if you dont already have it)

AMD Sempron 3400+ 2.0GHz Socket 754 64-Bit
DFI NF4X INFINITY nForce4-4X Athlon 64/Sempron Skt754 DDR
Gigabyte GV-NX66T256DE GeForce 6600GT PCI Express 256MB
512MB DDR Memory (would get a gig)
