Question New motherboard and blue screen

So i had to change my motherboard since my old one just died, it started to bootloop. I managed to change the motherboard to the new one and the bootlooping stopped, but now i have another issue. When i try to start the pc it doesnt show any logo it just gives a blue screen.

I have tried to troubleshoot it with using only 1 ram stick, taking the gpu off , using the motherboards hdmi port but nothing has made any difference!


New motherboard: Asus prime z390-p
Old motherboard: Gigabyte b360m ds3h

Probably the type of install you had on your old motherboard, vs what the new one is set to, for your boot drive. You probably will have to do a fresh install, of windows. Really need full system specs, including make/model of the PSU.

How do i manage to install new windows if im only getting the blue screen though? 🤔🤔
Full specs:
Cpu: Intel i7 9700k
Gpu: Msi rtx 3070
Ram: 2 x Corsair vengeance lpx 8gb 2666mhz
Psu: Corsair vs 650w
Hard drive: 2x kingston 480gb ssd

You have to install it via a USB drive setup for it.

I believe your BSOD is related to your old windows install being configured differently. Do you happen to have the error code?

There isnt any error code just a blue screen. And thanks
