new motherboard and clean os (Win7) but its painful slow

hello everyone,
i just bought a motherboard and installed Windows 7 on a hdd, for my sis, but its ridiculously slow, im talking 5min Windows loading, mouse not working, prob other issues i dont know about.

here's the specs,
12gb ram 1600
i3 3240 3.4Ghz 1155
old motherboard, but couldn't find any better--> supermicro C7Q67

can anyone help me find out why its so slow ? everything i do takes forever, internet explorer wont even open.

What are your full system specs, including hard drives?

Given the age of most of the components, if the HDDs are of a similar age, that's likely your issue.
Old/slow 5400rpm drives that have been in use for years.

Based on the info provided, it's probably time for a new HDD (or SSD + HDD) - but if you can link your system specs, we'll go from there.

well, its a 500g HGST, cant say rpm, sticker is lretty much destroyed, but i tried to boot with my own windows 10, wich is on a ssd, and i just gave up, stuck on loading windows,
