I just bought a new gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 for my pc and it can only boot into safe mode when my amd hd radeon 7850 is connected. If i take it out it boots into windows just fine. I have tried to adjust bios, update drivers, and download fresh version of windows but nothing seems to work. Any kind of help would be great!

Why exactly did you have to buy this board?

check the CPU temperature in BIOS if possible

install the latest chipset driver from AMD for your 760G

Did you reset the BIOS by jumper?

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

did you connect the monitor to your 7850 and no other video cables to the motherboard?

The PCIe power cables are plugged into the 7850?
The 8pin ATX power cable is connected to the motherboard and not only one 4 pin connector?

I only had one 4 pin connected so I connected a second one but the issue still persists. Could it be a compatibility issue between pcie 3.0 and 2.0?

could be, but other PCIe 3.0 GPUs are working with this board:
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28464915

So it might be just a BIOS problem. Which motherboard hardware revision do you have?

to have a look what the problem could be:
run userbenchmark.com with the onboard GPU and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730
The motherboard is revision 5.0 and this is the userbenchmark with the onboard GPU: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/33013501

Also realized I can only boot in selective startup with most services disabled even without my 7850 not plugged in.
