new motherboard causing performance loss

after installing the msi 970 gaming motherboard my performance in almost everything has been decreased and i can't figure out why.

- I have reinstalled windows 10 twice
-Bios are up to date
- Drivers have been reinstalled multiple times

-Parts-
Cpu- amd fx 8370
Gpu- gtx 960
Psu- evga 700w
mb- msi 970 gaming

All parts are within 2 months old and caused no problems on my previous motherboard, minus the cpu not being compatible.
Please help!

Realized I flipped the slow mode switch on....Issue has been resolved.
