Hello. I would be grateful if you could answer my questions.

I will start with my current computer specs:

ASUS SABERTOOTH X58, Socket-1366
Intel i7 920 CPU
Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5
Kingston 9GB RAM
Chieftec Nitro Series BPS-750C 750W PSU

Currently I have a problem with getting a signal on my monitor. It happened randomly one day, and I haven't figured out why yet. Tried unplugging and vica versa with every component. Tried basically everything, but still I won't get a signal.
So I am planning on buying a new motherboard, new CPU and new RAM. Not for just fixing this problem but because I need a new CPU and motherboard, and both come together in a relatively cheap package.

I am planning on buying the following:
Intel® Core i7-3770K Processor, Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3.5Ghz, 8MB

MSI Z77A-GD65, Socket-1155, ATX, Z77, DDR3, 3xG3-PCIe-x16, SLI/CFX

Crucial DDR3 BallistiX 1600Mhz DDR3 16GB, 16GB kit(4GBx4),Tactical, 1600Mhz, 1.5V, CL8-8-8-24

So my questions are:
Will these new parts fit/work with my current specs?
Will this (most probably) fix my monitor signal problem?
..Or will I have to buy a new graphics card too due to the nature of the problem?

I would appreciate all the answers. Thanks in advance!

Nature of the problem looks to be GPU to me.

Honestly, there isn't a huge gain of performance going from a oldish i7 because you can OC it. I would much rather OC it and keep the X58.

Try buying a cheap 30-40 dollar GPU and test if you get display. No signal on monitor in 99% cases is either GPU or the monitor itself.

Well I tried using another GPU. No display. What else could be the problem?

Well.. late reply, but whatever.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? Unplug your computer from the wall, turn off the PSU switch, and then if you have a button at the back of the motherboard, press it. IF you don't, pull out the bios battery with the GPU out, wait a couple of minutes, and put it back in. Shouldn't take too long.

Sorry, I have been quite busy lately. Yes, I have tried all of the above suggestions. Still, it wont work. I guess I'll just buy a new Motherboard, processor, ram and graphics card. I was thinkig about upgrading even before this problem happened. I honestly hope I still wont have this problem after thw upgrade?
