Hi,

My current mobo just died (Asrock Z87M Extreme4, computer powers on and then turns off immediately, in a never ending cycle - tested PSU with a paper clip joining 16-17 holes and and the PSU does work).

I bought it in 2014 with i7-4770K and G.Skill (Ripjaws X) F3-1866C9D-16GXM: DDR3-1866 C9, 16 GB (2 x 8 GB)

I want to buy a new mobo which can work with that CPU with an intention of buying a new CPU in future. I also need support for NVMe PCIE.

Any suggestions? Please :)

Thanks!

No, the H-97 has the M2 SATA (10 gbps) connector, but neither NVMe nor PCIE drives

I can only offer the board I use as a possible replacement motherboard. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-Z97-PC-Mate-LGA-1150-Intel-I-O-HDMI-SATA-6Gb-s-USB-3-0-ATX-Intel-Motherboard/162545208971. Currently using it was a 4690K, 8GB RAM and an EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid. I'm using the 212 evo with the 4690K. It handles OC's and keeps temperatures in the green.

that would be good, but your delivery is in march-april...a lot of time..
what is the 212 evo ?

I missed that🙁

The Cooler Master 212 Evo is a CPU cooler aka a heatsink/fan combo.
