New Motherboard - Fullfillment by Amazon

I just received a new motherboard today that I purchased on Amazon. It was fulfilled by Amazon but sold by STARLIT PARTNER. It was shipped without any packaging with the labels placed directly on the motherboard"s box. It wasn't sealed either. Would you return this motherboard?

That means you bough it from a third party, and it was distributed from the amazon warehouse. They were not responsible for anything else.

I personally would return it if possible, simply because I would rather deal with proper amazon packaging.

Yeah I thought with it being fulfilled by Amazon meant they would oversee the packaging and shipping. It wasn't even sealed. I will return it. I've bought dozens of motherboards, video cards, etc. on Amazon, Ebay, and various other websites and this is the first time I've had something ship in it's original packaging like this.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope this can help someone else debating on whether to buy from a third-party or not. I've come to learn that the motherboard is the most important part of the system; more circuits means more possibilities of failure, and this motherboard was bought "new" specifically to avoid any failures. Returning at no cost to me. I suppose I'll tape the return label directly to the box and send it on its way. :) *But dang, what if it get's tampered with along the way and I don't get my refund?!?! Which stresses me out even more on why someone would ship a brand new item without any packaging!!??

I'd personally say put it in another box for safety when you return it. In my experience Amazon doesn't care about what box it was shipped in to begin with, so long as the product packaging is all still there and not horribly damaged in the return. Amazon usually also has an option for them to cover the return costs if you're a Prime member.
