New Motherboard-HDMI With TV Speakers

Hi Everyone,

So I got a new motherboard(ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS) the other day because my old one was causing overheating issues, and everyone's working fine except that I am not getting audio from my gtx 460 anymore to my tv monitor's built in speakers. This would work fine with my old motheboard. I have tried updating all my drivers, searching for settings that might fix it in the bios, and of course have done plenty of google searching. And every response says that if you "show disconnected devices," it'll be there. But this option is not showing up.

Would someone give me some advice to fix this?

Set the HD audio as the default playback device. The name may change depending on what they name it and its probably set to the boards realtek soundcard.

Rt click the speaker incon down by the clock. then left on playback devices.

I mentioned already that this wasn't possible. The option simply isn't there.

Edit: I take that back. An option like that is there, it just does nothing. It says:

Realtek Digital Output
2-Realtek High Definition Audio
Default Device
