Hello,

I recently purchased a new motherboard, cpu cooler and case for my build as I have wanted to upgrade for some time. After putting everything together and powering on my machine, it turns on and all fans/lights seem to be operationg as normal. The MSI gaming 5 motherboard led lights are on and it is displaying a temperature with no error code.

Problem is that my monitor will not detect a signal nor will my mouse and keyboard turn on. I have tried both the gpu dvi and the motherboard dvi for monitor connection and I have tried every usb in order to connect the mouse/ keyboard but nothing works.

Any ideas as to how I can trouble shoot this issue and get the mouse/keyboard/monitor working?

I appreciate the help, thanks!

Hi alexoiu,

The board is not displaying any code. The only things showing the the temperature on the LED. I just tried removing one stick of RAM and now it starts up fine and everything is working. Do you know if there are any steps I need to take in order to utilize both sticks of RAM? Maybe the mobo isnt utilizing the 1866 frequency and that is causing issues?

Error code 15 then it switched to 26. I see that 26 has to do with RAM not sure what 15 is

I only tested the one to the far right and it started up normaly with that one... I was on my lunch break so didnt have much time. I will test the other slots when I get home.
