Hey Everyone, hopefully you can all lend some aid! I recently had to send my ASUS Mobo in for a RMA, as it short circuited. In the meantime I purchased a cheaper replacement motherboard, a ASUS B85M-D, and installed it into my computer today. The on board graphics card works fine, and is what I am using now, but my GPU ( Geforce GX 760) is not being detected by my motherboard.
I called Nvidia for support and they are convinced that it is an issue with my bios recognizing the card. They were trying to find a way for me to turn off Boot in Secure Mode, which they say is preventing the computer from recognizing any additional hardware, but the option to toggle it on/off was greyed out. Eventually they told me it had to be an issue that only ASUS could solve, and I'm waiting for a callback as I write this. I was able to get it to toggle Secure mode off by deleting the boot keys, but that didnt work, and I eventually brought back the boot keys. I have also tried forcing the display to only come from the PCI-E and PCI slot, but after I saved and exited bios, it would toggle back to "automatic", its default setting.
I have the power being fed to the graphics card, and my power source was adequate. I had this rig working for about a year before the mobo gave out, and its been an uphill battle ever since.
Cant get this graphics card to work, can anyone lend a hand?
