Just set up my new build, but want to keep my old drives as there's technically nothing wrong with them.

When I go to do a fresh install of win10 on my old SSD (which currently has win10 on it) - it's not there. It does recognize my HDD however I'd ideally like to have my OS on the SSD.

I've looked through every forum question regarding this issue and I am yet to find a solution.

Motherboard - Asus Z97-P ATX
SSD - Crucial BX100 120gb

Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if I have missed something on another thread I apologise.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the community, nutbarspadge!

I'd recommend you try swapping the SATA cable of the SSD with a different one and check if that will get the SSD properly detected in BIOS. You should also try using a different SATA III (6 Gb/s) port on your mobo and see if that will help. If you haven't tried that already, you might also want to attempt resetting BIOS . This will get all your BIOS settings back to factory defaults, so you'd need to reconfigure them.
You can also check the motherboard manufacturer's official website for any SATA controller & chipset driver updates for your model and make sure everything is installed manually from there, instead of Windows Updates.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! :)
