Question New motherboard or not? (Samsung J5 2016 dropped in water)

Hi everyone,

unfortunately I dropped my Samsung J5 2016 in water; now it doesn't turn on anymore when I push the power button or when I plug it in.
I verified the battery on an other phone and it does work fine;
so my question is :- should I buy a new motherboard or the problem could be something else?

Does the PC recognize the phone?
If it does there might be a chance but, hard to do it, cause the corrosion might happen on screen connector and other connectors.

so I can say for sure I have got a motherboard issue, right?

the point is a new motherboard would cost me 30$;

I don't know if the screen is ok, but I think it is worth giving a try.

Hardly, you dont know if the screen is damaged in any way, you have to disassemble the phone and check the connectors if they have green thingy onto them.
But screen should work if the connectors are fine.
