New motherboard, OS won't load up

I just bought and installed a new ASUS M5A 78L-M USB3 motherboard because my old one did not support my new powercolor HD7870 graphics card. Installed my new mother board and now neither of the cards (HD 7870, or old HD 7350) will show anything. The computer turns on and all the fans work, but it loads to the ASUS BIOS options screen, and if nothining is pressed, continues to boot as normal. Once the options screen is gone, the computer either shows a black screen with one white "_" (old 7350), or just a plain black screen (new 7870)

Your hard drive still has the drivers for your old motherboard, and that is causing conflicts. Boot to your windows install DVD and do a repair Install.

I would recommend a completely clean install.

It may come to that.. If the repair install works, then he can at least backup his critical files before doing the clean install.

Due to driver conflicts , I recommend a clean install of windows.
