New Motherboard...Please Help!!!!!

I have a VIA P4M800 PRO that restarts all the time no matter what I am doing. I have heard of others with this board that have this problem. My current system is:

P4 531 3.2 GHz HT
Kingston ValueRAM DDR 400 1.5 GB
XFX Geforce 6800 XT 256MB GDDR3 256-bit AGP 8x
Rosewill 380W PS

I only want to upgrade the Mobo and keep all my other parts. Any suggestions on a new mobo.

You have a weak PSU and you may have to dump the ram. Also you can get a core 2 cpu at the same time

You need to find out if it's a 478 or 775 socket, first. Then go to Newegg and look up boards with that socket. Buy sumthin with an Intel chipset.

Check to see if any of the motherboard capacitors are leaking/bulding/bursting. Examples:

the P4 531 3.2 GHz HT is a 775 cpu and you will have a hard time finding a 775 board with agp and ddr1 with 4 slots.

and some board don't have full AGP slots.

What's the motherboard make and Model? Have you updated to the latest BIOS?
