New motherboard problems (crackling microphone)

I recently upgraded my motherboard to a MSI Z97S Sli Krait Edition. For the first week of using the motherboard was fine but after a while I've been getting a lot on mic problems, every microphone i try works fine for about 5-10 seconds after i plug, then it starts crackling and doesn't detect anything unless i tap the mic but it still barely detects it. I tried reinstalling realtek HD audio drivers but it didn't help. I run out of ideas and I would be grateful if a fix was found.(returning the motherboard is the final option its just that I would be stuck without a computer for a couple of weeks)

1| It's always a good idea to pass on your full system's specs since we're dealing with a troubleshooting thread.
2| Since you went through a lot of hardware it's good if you can list your before and after setup(and what you changed).
3| You should also list the audio equipment's that you've used. If you're using USB driven mic's then the change to your audio drivers are moot.
4| Have you made sure your BIOS is up to date?
5| You should also state your OS.
6| After changing your motherboard, did you reinstall your OS or are you on the previous installation, which you used for your older motherboard?
