New motherboard RAM

Hi I have just purchased a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard + AMD FX 8320 black Edition
I have 16GB of Corsair Vengeance LP ( DDR3 ) RAM which I used in my old system ( Motherboard. was a Foxconn H67M series with an Intel i5 CPU).Can I use this RAM with my new motherboard. Have been told it to old. Info on back of RAM box Follows:=
Corsair Vengeance Schwarz 8GB DDR3 1600 MHZ (PC3 12800) Desktop.

That ram should work fine, am3+ boards use ddr3 ram. There are different speeds of ram but ddr3 is ddr3, there's no old version and new version.
