My PC:
core i7 4790
8 GB ram
1 TB HDD
GTX 1070 graphic card
H81-C Motherboard (now broken)

So I accidently broke some of the CPU socket pins, and I need a new motherboard.
I could probably get one of the same model (H81-C) FOR 30 dollars, or I can get a new one with ddr4 (but that would mean buying new RAM AS well).
My question is, will upgrading actually have a huge effect on the performance? because if it won't I don't want to spend so much on it.
Also if you have certain recommendation for a better motherboard (whether DDR3 or DDR4) please tell.

Solution
Your performance is determined by the processor and not much else.
If you keep the i7-4790, your best option is to buy the $30 replacement.
There are not many DDR3 compatible motherboards that support a i7-4790.

And a new processor. There is no DDR4 motherboard that would run your processor.

IMO buy the $30 board. There really is no value in spending more on a motherboard for that system. You will not see any performance improvement.
