Hi guys.

I was thinking about getting a new motherboard because i think it's a little old and it doesn't fit with my new ram that i got (Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3-2400 DC 2x4GB) but i would like to check with u guys if it's a waste of money or not.

I got a ASUSTeK Computer INC. Maximus IV Extreme
(https://www.asus.com/dk/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/MAXIMUS_IV_EXTREME/)

and i consider changing to a ASUS Z170-P D3
(https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-P-D3/)

is it worth it? I'm using it for gaming (waiting for Fall Out 4!)

i got a Intel Core i7-2600K cpu by the way, does it even fit the motherboard that i'm looking for?

hope u can help!

If you already have 8 GB's of RAM on your current motherboard, than there's no point in upgrading it.
If you can return that RAM kit , you should do it.
The I7 - 2600k it's still a very strong CPU that will handle almost every game you throw at it.
The motherboard you're looking for it's not compatible with your CPU , only with i3, i5 and i7 from 6th generation.
Just wait , save your money and upgrade it later.
