Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a cheap mouse off Amazon to replace my broken thermaltake ventus x.

It was a VicTsing /Pictek mouse just for reference.

Was working fine for 2 days, I had just used, got up from the computer to have dinner and came back to it refusing to move (cursor was also invisible until i plugged in another mouse). All other mouses I've tested on the computer so far work perfectly fine, I've tested the broken mouse on a windows and mac laptop with no luck (same problem, can click and scroll but can't move the cursor). I'm not the most tech savvy person so the only things I've tried so far has been checking for driver updates, disabling the device and then uninstalling it with no change in circumstances.

At the moment I am opting for the return route but I just wanted to check if there was anything else I could potentially look at before doing so.

Thanks in advance :)

I would just replace it, go back to one with a quality brand-name instead of downgrading to a brand-name which few people here have even heard of.

Yeah I think I've learnt my lesson in buying cheap stuff from Amazon.

Annoyingly, after i posted this, I went and disassembled / cleaned my old ventus x mouse to see if i could fix it (It kind of did) and on a whim, I decided to plug back in the cheap broken one and of course it starts working again, so as I started typing again to say "nvm problem solved" it stopped working again.

Big LOL :ptdr:

Throw the POS in the bin and stick a bad review on it's Amazon page.
