New msi mobo and phenom ll x4 925 cpu freezes up in gaming

Installed a new MSI mobo with the AMD Phenom ll quad core 925 processor and computer frezzes up during online gaming. temp of cpu sits around 90 degress Faranheit... any ideas?

Well the temp isn't overly high. Perhaps an unstable overclock?
Is the problem exclusively in that game or with internet apps? It could be that the game has a bug or the network adaptor on the board is bad.
Will the computer freeze up during intensive games that are offline? if it does it could be a graphics problem.
When the game freezes up can you hit ctrl-alt-del and get the OS back?

Those temps are very high for AMD. I'd reseat the CPU fan and make sure its actually spinning when the computer is turned on.

Thats 90 F not C, or so he says.

Did you do a fresh install or just replace the mobo and use the existing install of Windows?

If so, you probably have conflicting drivers and would be best to reinstall Windows.

Yea. If he really means 90F its fine. If it is 90c though then.... well TBH, the CPU should be shutting itself off and the PC should turn off. Most CPUs thermal limit is 70-75c.
