I have new neighbours and would love to find out if they are using my connection.
I am using bt wireless hub. Are there any software that would show you all users of your network?
No software as such but you can type 192.168.1.254 into your Internet Explorer address bar and go into the router's settings to see which MAC addresses - and therefore computers - have been in there. Compare with your own and the odd one out is potentially going to get you into trouble if they start downloading risky stuff.
The problem with that is the mess BT creates around logging in - the default password is printed on the label but you can't just use that - you have to input that and then create one of your own which usually fails every time. The good news is that the connection is secured by WPA security and it's unlikely your neighbour has cracked it. If, however, it's beside the front door and he's knocked to ask for a cup of sugar/flour/money he could have sneaked a look at the security key while you went to the kitchen. 😀[/#000ff]
