Question New NZXT kraken x62 not cooling as well as I had thought it would

Hey guys, I bought myself a new kraken x62 aio watercooler the other day and after popping it in my PC decided to do a OC to my cpu (intel 4690k clocked at 4.6ghz 1.294 volts). Upon testing in prime 95 I was getting temps up to 87c after a few hours testing, which seems weird considering in a review on guru they were testing the 4790k clocked at 4.6ghz and it never passed 71c in their testing. Have I done something terribly wrong, or are some cpu's simply hotter than others?

Thanks in advance :)

It depends on the version of prime95
Newer versions use avx instructions which cause the cpu to run much hotter
If the review used the older version and you used the newer one it makes sense to see such a temp difference

(in short, use Prime 95.5 v26.6/small FFTs..it is the 'standard')
Okay, thank you so much for the info! So, is itokay that my cpu got that hot running a test on the newer version, or is it still kinda bad? During gameplelay in a cpu intensive game (ESO in this case where the CPU is quite often at 80-100% load) the CPU never gets hotter than about 55c with the 700mhz oc.
