There's a new object this morning - some kind of Easter bunny. Here's the
description from the site:

Type:
Sort: Miscellaneous
Subsort: Children

Description: This adorably fluffy abomination of modern science updates the
classic Teddy Bear with lovingly hand-stitched snippets of rabbit DNA sewn
right into the fabric of the doll. Perfect for tea-parties, playing house,
or playing God.

Best wishes
Maxon

I've downloaded it but am holding back at installing it, (I remember
the URBZ rack and Halloween stuff we had to remove before installing
Uni. :-( so I'll wait to see what impact it has on the game LOL.

I downloaded it, but can't get it to show in the game. Same with the Cupid
Statue. Any ideas? Thanks

Did you run the sims2pack installer?
Otherwise I know the cupid appears under decoration/sculptures or
decoration/misc.

Huh - what problems?

You couldn't install the Urbz thing if you hadn't installed the patch,
that's the only problem I can remember. I certainly didn't uninstall
anything from Maxis when I installed the new EP.

Best wishes
Maxon

A lot of people were having problems (so I read around the net!!)with
the URBZ rack and the Halloween stuff, and it was recommended to take
these out before installing Uni,(so I did), seeing as this stuff was
made by MaxoidMonkey, and being that the teddy/rabbit thing is made by
him too, I'm just a bit chary of installing it, but *if* we can put back
the URBZ rack I will, my Sims liked playing that.

Cupid's fine, he's under Decorative->Sculpture for me, but I can't find
the bunny! Only things that are different for me between installing
these two items is 1) University (but that shouldn't be a problem since
this is a Maxis item and a Maxis program!) and 2) Clean Install (but
not sure why this would be a problem because other objects have
installed fine using that!)

I was so looking forward to putting him on the floor and letting
toddlers chew on that rabbit DNA.

Yeah I looked where the teddy was, and while the standard teddy, and
the custom teddies (like the cute Winnie the Pooh and Tigger that I
downloaded from TSR) are there, the bunnybear is nowhere to be found
:'-(

Hmph. He'll probably show up when I'm looking at beds one day >:-|

The bunny should be under misc/toys or children. I haven't installed it
yet, but that is where the teddy is.

I installed him earlier and went to check him out. He is in Misc/Children,
right next to the teddy. Looks just about like the teddy too, just with
long ears. I wish someone would make the teddy, or bunny, so that it could
sit on a table or in a chair.

Found the problem. I installed using the Package installer from Maxis
instead of the Clean Installer from ModTheSims. Both objects now show up
fine. I guess Clean Installer works on everything but official objects.

Cool. So (stupid question time - but then when is it not for me?) how
do I stop it from defaulting to Clean Installer and go to the Maxis
Package installer?

I *knew* it was going to be blindingly obvious as soon as I saw the
answer. I am now bashing my head against the keyboard at my stupidity.

D'oh. D'oh. D'oh. D'oh.

Right click on the file and choose "open with.." then select the Maxis
program. If you have used both programs before, the association should
already be there. If not, then browse to the program and select it. It will
be in the menu next time you right-click a download.

Using Clean Install worked fine for me tho. I like it better because i can
specify where I want it to install.
