Question New Optix MAG240VC

Hi.

I just purchased an Optix MAG240VC monitor and have a couple questions:

- I have what I assume is a dead pixel - it's a pixel that appears blue on a black screen; the color changes when on a non-black screen. It's very visible on a black screen, otherwise it is barely noticeable. I assume that this is to be expected and it's just a "learn to ignore it" type deal?

- I realize it's not an IPS monitor but I didn't expect the text to be quite this blurry. Are there any settings I can check to verify there's nothing else I can do to improve text clarity (Windows 10)?

- Any recommended settings for the monitor?

That's a 'stuck' pixel. If you just purchased it, return it. I have a 0 pixel policy on new monitors, esp blurry ones.

Blurry could be the connection type, such as VGA.
