Hi, I recently replaced the hard drive on my Samsung laptop (NP305V5A-A05DX) and re-installed the OS with no problem. After a bit of searching I found the graphics drivers and a LAN driver so I can now connect to the internet with an ethernet cable. However, if I disconnect the cable it will not detect the active and working wifi signal I use.

In device manager there is a 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller' network adapter then in 'other devices' There is a 'Network controller' Which has the error: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
If I use 'update driver software' It just says it found driver software but encountered an error while attempting to install it 'Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless network adapter'

Help?

Solution
even if u copy paste the drivers it will still wont work.. u might have to update by giving the path of the driver file...go through this link http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-install-hardware-or-device-drivers-manually-in-windows-vista/
it has step wise instructions to update the driver software manually

Hi, so I had to reinstall my old drive as I needed a working laptop for the day, but I found that the atheros wireless drivers work on that drive. Is there any way of copying and pasting the working drivers onto my new drive?
