New out of box comp. New ACER monitor says no signal

Just hooked up new computer out of the box. The monitor turns on but says no signal. I even tried my old monitor and no luck. Please help.

If you have double checked your connections, do you have access to the inside of the tower? Make sure you read to find out if you are allowed to open the case without voiding the warranty first. If you can I would start out by checking to make sure something hasn't come loose in handling. Obviously disconnect the power first and ground yourself to get rid of static. If you are not allowed to open the case then a return would be needed.
