Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz

Intel Core i7-8700K

ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E

I plan to buy these and upgrade my pc. Currently I have an i5-4690, 8gb ddr3, not sure my exact motherboard. Would there be any issues installing these in My computer? Im not super savy with the hardware side of this and so I dont know how smooth everything will transition in reguards to the different connections.....Ive seen GPU's basically all have the same connection and you just plug it in for the most part, CPU's have the 1150 and 1151 sockets so its gets complicated....would my hard drive be outdatesd/SSD and will they need new connections to connect to the motherboard? Sorry if this is confusing, I can elaborate more if needed.

Not sure of the other parts, but yes it will work. Assuming you don't have some funky oem system with a strange way the power button connects to the motherboard then yeah, it will work. If this system uses a normal type case you bought and put together it will work.

Unless your ssd is having issues then it's going to be fine. I'm assuming you have sata drives so yeah it's fine. You will put the new board in your case and the heatsink will attach on to that board, if it uses a bracket on the back or whatever like the current ones, it's kind of the same thing just newer parts.

I've heard and experience issues when plopping in the OS drive. You have multiple so if you want It's easy to find your key via bios, backup to other drive, fresh install 10 on your ssd. You might not have issues plopping it in, but I've had some problems in the past and i think it was tied to doing this.

Maybe someone else knows more about if you should do this or not. For me it worked, but then Windows errors started coming a while later. Maybe it was something else, but I think it was this.

Did same thing as you recently while replacing cpu, ram, mobo and keeping gpu, ssdx2, hdd, case.. I did a fresh install on my os drive and no issues or error so far.
