My friend wants a pc that will run fortnite and call of duty around 200 fps, I don’t really have experience with high end components I’m in the mid range game rn and idk what parts he would need any ideas?

Solution
The 3800x actually performs almost exactly the same as the 3700x.

What resolution is his monitor? Makes a difference.

I have a 3800x and a 2070 Super and a 1440p 144hz monitor. I rarely hit 144 FPS in AAA games. CoDMW Warzone with graphics turned down just a bit is 100-120FPS.

The resolution of your monitor.

1080p is quite common but having recently switched to 1440p I'll never go back to 1080p.

With 1080p the cpu works a bit harder than it does at 1440p. The cpu is usually the bottleneck at 1080p whereas 1440p is a nice balance and relieves the load on the cpu a bit.
