A few days ago, I've built a new pc.The first game I tried on it was Pro Evolution Soccer 2016.Yesterday,when the game started for the first time, I loved the new pc's performance running the game, fps performance.
But today, when I wanted to run the game, it opened the "settings" app of the game and I chose a resolution like "1027*768 " with 4:3 aspect radio, also selected "full screen" instead of "window mode".When I reopened the game, I noticed black bars at the bottom and top and I noticed a lot of fps drop.I thought maybe cpu is overheating(on my previous computer playing Pes 2015, it was slowing down a lot cause of the cpu overheating which I had fixed by cleaning the dust of it's fan) but there was no overheating of the cpu or gpu, they were below 52C.I had thought this new pc should be able to handle a 7 years old game's graphics at high-end settings...
I tried using some other video resolution and aspect ratio settings and from what I've tried only one option runs very good/great: "1280*720, 16:9" and it has to be played in windowed mode, if I choose "full screen" mode then it again shows black bars and fps drops very much. But if I play in window mode, it doesn't show any black bar,the game and match screens are very extended(unlike other settings) with minimal cropping(Windows taskbar is causing the cropping) and the fps performance looks almost great. And there is only one video resolution setting for 16:9 aspect ratio.
If I use a resolution setting with 4:3 aspect ratio , neither window mode nor full screen mode's fps performance is good and it always shows thick black bars both at the top and the bottom of the screen.
What may be the reason of this problem? Also I am using an old lcd monitor if it does make a difference, it's a Philips 190p7, it has a very low refresh rate and also I am using a hdmi-dvi cable to be able to connect it to the graphics card(Asus Dual Geforce RTX 3060 OC Edition).I had ordered a new monitor but it will be delivered in about 4-5 weeks.I am running the game under Windows 11.
