==EDIT==
Mounted the ISO to a DVD and booted off of that instead 😉
========
I created a bootable USB for Windows 7 to install Windows for my new PC. The BIOS recognizes the USB drive, but when I try to boot from it, it goes back to the UEFI BIOS screen.
I have tried different USBs in different slots and used different kinds of Win 7 64-bit OSs with different ways of mounting the ISO into USB. I am on a Mac setting this all up so I have no access to Rufus or the Microsoft ISO mounter. I have used UNetBootin and the terminal to mount. I did this with my other computer a week ago the exact same way with a Z97-Pro Mobo instead of Z97-A. That's the only difference.
I have already tried to disable Fast boot and secure boot.
Any help is greatly appreciated. 🙂
Specs:
Asus Z97-A Mobo
Intel 4690K CPU
Patriot Viper 1 x 8GB 1600 Mhz RAM
Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB 2.5" SSD
and Bootable USB Stick with Windows 7
