New PC Build, 5 BEEPS, reboot, no display

Hi All

This may be a repeat thread however I have tried most of the resolutions and still face this issue. Im new and this is my first build any assistance will be appreciated.

Specs:
- Gigabyte H110 D3A rev 1.0
- Ripjaws ddr4 2400MHz 4GB RAM
- Intel Celeron G3930 2.9GHz Dual Core Kaby Lake Socket LGA1151 Desktop CPU
- Power supply Antec 750W

Troubleshooting:
-Tried re-seating the RAM
- Re-seating the CPU, doing base POST test with only the components above.

Not sure what else to check, previous threads and support forums indicate the cpu as the issue. Not sure what else to do as I don't have a replacement..

Hi, The board needs a BIOS update for supporting the Kaby. Try returning the board, and buying a 200 series one (like B250).

Hi alexoiu , Thanks for the help. I checked and found I may not be able to return the Mother board. Could you explain a bit more on the process for updating the BIOS ? and is there a specific version I should update to ?

Hi, No problem.
Any version newer than F20. For updating the BIOS you have to use a supported CPU, for accessing the BIOS and using the embedded utility. Another option would be returning the CPU and buying a Skylake one.
