New PC Build... Advice please

I am about to buy new hardware for a new build, I've researched it for a while but I just recently ran into a dilemma. I will start by listing the specs:

CPU- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
HDD- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
SSD- Sandisk Extreme II 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Optical Drive- Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Case- Rosewill Challenger-U3 ATX Mid Tower Case
RAM- G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Motherboard- ASRock Z87 Pro3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
PSU-Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Now here is where I am trying to make my decision, originally I was going to get the GTX 760 2gb, but now I'm contemplating between the GTX 770 and the AMD Radeon R9 280.

I would like to get some advice on which you guys think is the best value.

Any other advice is completely welcome.

First off you'd better get a better power supply - a Corsair CX won't power an i5-4670K and a GTX 770 or Radeon R9 series. You want at least a Seasonic G series, better would be an NZXT Hale 90 or XFX Pro series. What's your overall budget?

My budget is probably around $1100, and yeah, I did not think about the PSU upgrade from the different GPU.

I'd go for the GTX 770 personally. I'm not really a fan of the R9 series so far.

Very similar but I had this same decision and went with the 770 and I'm very satisfied. Here are some comparison benchmarks that you can check out.
