Planning to upgrade from 3rd generation processor to Intel Core i5-9600K since I wanna go big for PC gaming.

I have a question can I play good fps with BenQ 1080p monitor with 60hz at the moment? I need to buy a 1440hz monitor but I cannot afford it at the moment. Will I face issues since I do not have 144hz or 120hz monitor at the moment?

(Previous build currently)
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K overclocked to 4.4ghz auto voltage.

Computer Case: NZXT Phantom 820 Gunmetal case. (need a new case) Has bad wiring split due to Power Panel Connectors? Had to boot the motherboard using the screwdriver method.

PU: Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB SSC version from Best Buy.

SSD: Samsung 830 256GB (2012)

HDD: WD Black 1TB (2010)

HDD: WD Blue 500GB (2010)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 C9 4x4GB (bought in 2013)

MBD: Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 Motherboard (2013) recent bios updated.

Monitor: BENQ 1920X1080p 60HZ 4ms (2014
Win 10

New Build here:
Intel Core i5-9600K (Do want a 9700k but too expensive)

CORSAIR - VENGEANCE LPX Series 16GB (2PK 8GB) 3.0GHz DDR4 Desktop Memory - Black
Model:CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

ASUS - TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) (Socket LGA1151) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Intel Motherboard

Corsair H150i or H100i cooler

EVGA 850 BQ Power Supply

(Rest of SSD and Hard Drive up above connected) I will upgrade these later when I have the rest of the money to upgrade the small drives.)

BENQ 1920X1080p 60hz. (I wanna upgrade!)
Win 10

Advice?

Have you consider AMD Ryzen?

Anyways, it's true that asus has been getting a lot of bad comments from their Z390 line, I can only say I saw the Z390 Extreme 4 from Asrock for really good price and went for it, performs really good, lot's of features and overclocks nicely.

Depends what you're trying to play. Newer games you'll definitely have to tweak some settings around but regardless you should be able to hit the 60fps ballpark fairly easily :)

As you have plans to go 144Hz in the future and will be aiming for high FPS to match I’d consider either the 9700k/8700k or Ryzen 2600. I’ve seen a few reviews where the 9600k is maxing out across all cores in a handful of games when pushing higher FPS. I’d aim for a cpu with more threads.

A lot of people were saying these TUF motherboards are horrible and I deserve better. I cannot afford to get a new monitor at the moment since I do want higher FPS but at least it will max performance well and that would be the last thing I need. Can anyone recommend a good motherboard from Micro Center or Best Buy? I am trying to convince my aunt to lean towards best buy since they compare prices to NewEgg and they have better options than the retarded Best Buy route. The reason why I mentioned Best Buy is that my aunt has a credit card for that and I have no clue if she is willing to help cover the Micro Center buyout. I rather Micro Center since they have everything I need compared to Best Buy. They are limited.

A motherboard doesn't really mean a lot to your system in regards of performance. It only matters if you plan on overclocking otherwise it will not affect performance in any way.
