Hi everyone! Currently, I am looking to build a new PC for gaming. So far, I have been using an older setup... and am considering upgrading for better performance. Also, I'd love for the build to look nice - so trying to get all the components to match in colour for display purposes.

After some preliminary research, I have determined that the card would fit within the case, CPU would work with the board etc. However, as far as anyone knows - are there any compatibility issues? Any better suited parts? I am still quite new to this, so feel like I might have missed something obvious.

Here is the list for now

CPU - Ryzen 7 7800x3d
GPU - NVIDIA 4070 (MSI gaming x slim)
Motherboard - ASUS ROG STRIX b650
Case - NZXT H7 flow white
RAM - corsair vengeance white 32gb
Fans - 140mm be quiet! Light wings white (1500 rpm)
AIO - DeepCool LT720 white 360mm
SSD - 500GB Samsung 980 pro ( 6900/5000 )
HDD - 2TB Seagate barracuda (5400 rpm)
PSU - 850W Seasonic focus platinum

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Few thoughts:

The H7 flow is big, do really need such a big case? Try the H6 flow maybe?

Alternatives:

the MSI edge wifi B650 is a better board than the Strix. MSI got 14 phase 70A caps VRM design compared to 12 phase and 60A caps in the strix. Both have pcie 5.0 ssd support. I would suggest the MSI if its available there.

Why the slim 4070? if you are paying a price premium for it, dont bother.

Why 5400rpm instead of 7200rpm drive? I would say, for the price, get a 2b nvme drive and also the 2tb 7200rpm drive if you need the space.

Also, 4070 super is expected to launch at CES 2024. might be worth it to wait.

Ah, okay good to know! Will look into the H6

Motherboard suggestion is helpful too, would there be a major performance difference between the two?

for the drive, I had heard of faster ones (eg: 7200rpm) heating up more quickly and having a shorter lifespan, not sure if that actually holds true though.

Thanks for the suggestions!
