New PC Build doubts-

Hey there i am from argentina and i was looking into these two builds. I dont know which one to go, every suggestion will be highly aprecciated. Thanks!

First Build (Intel):

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3 B75
CPU: Intel i5-3750k 3.4Ghz
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 2x4Gb 1600Mhz
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 OC edition 1gb
Power Supply: Thermaltake TR2 600W
Case: Thermaltake Element G / Thermaltake V9 black edition

Second Build:

Motherboard: M5A97 EVO R 2.0 970
CPU: AMD FX-8150
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 2x4Gb 1600Mhz
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 OC edition 1gb
Power Supply: Thermaltake TR2 600W
Case: Thermaltake Element G / Thermaltake V9 black edition

I aim to use the pc for Gaming, Catia, Solid Edge, Solid Work, Cads, and Matlab / Octave.

My doubts rellays basicaly in the cpus and motherboards. Although any other suggestion for the other parts will be taken into account.

You need a z77 motherboard if you want to overclock the i5.

Those both have a weaker GPU. They will only game at medium settings.

I would reduce the CPU to an fx-6300 and get a better GPU.

The i5 is better for the other software you linked. Get the i5 3350p and a better GPU.

I would wait for the new processors from intel and amd, also new gpus from nvidia before deciding. I love my ASUS mobo, I also have an ASUS laptop and nexus 7. I also have intel processors, fast and reliable. Im not saying amd isnt reliable, just not as fast right now. I have owned a 570, 680, 650m and a tegra 3 all from nvidia with no problems. This is what has worked well for me.

I would suggest getting an aftermarket cooler for your cpu. My 2600 stays at room temp while running with a coolermaster 212+ and aggressive air cooling.

I could go for a FX-6300 or i5 2500K instead , and for gpu a HD 7790 OC or a gtx 650ti 2gb.
Keeping the motherboards i put in the first post. Remember i'm on a budget . Thanks

Thermaltake power supplies are known problems. Change it to an Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, or XFX of 500W or more.

He is in south america. Generally they have only Coolermaster and Thermaltake as far as name brands go. Both have 'acceptable' units in certain lines. Getting a Thermaltake 600w unit will be alright because even though it is no the highest quality unit, it will never be stressed and only have to pull 400w or less for this system.

If that is true I would get either the TR2 550W or the TR2 700W. I am not a fan of HEC. Channel Well and FSP are decent though.

Tiny voices is right we have thermaltake cooler master. I can find an xfx but there not too many in the market, i think 700w is too much for the system i would rather go for 550w.

Why? the 2500k is practically two generations old... and Intel at this point over amd for performance for sure
