Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP, but probably waiting for Black Friday Sales
Budget Range: $2000 CAD after taxes and shipping
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (currently Warframe, Genshin Impact, Jedi Fallen Order, but would like to try out Cyberpunk 2077 at some point), 3D Rendering (I'm wanting to learn Blender in the near future for 3D animation and rendering as a hobby), Video Streaming/Editing (I'd also like to try out streaming and making YouTube videos at some point)
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: I'm looking to keep my HDDs from my previous PC that's 8ish years old, but need to upgrade pretty much everything.
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: None really, but I have had good experiences with Memory Express in the past.
Location: Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada
Parts Preferences: No real preference, but I'm leaning towards Intel as they seem to be a lot better for Video editing, and Nvidia due to their dominance with regards to rendering 3d
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: 1440p or even 4k if that's realistic. I have no idea.
Additional Comments: Like I said, I'm playing Warframe and Genshin Impact right now, but would like to play Jedi Fallen Order and Cyberpunk 2077 as well as whatever else on Gamepass looks interesting. I'd like to learn 3D animation and rendering with Blender, and video editing with DaVinci Resolve.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm seeing the age of my 8 year old rig when it comes to content creation and running newer games like Jedi Fallen Order.
I'm feeling lost and overwhelmed with all the information out there.
Thanks in advance,
Falross
