I am trying to build a mediocre future-proof gaming PC. Could you please tell me, if everything will work fine together, and if there are some alternatives that I should consider.

m - ASRock Z370 Pro4
c - Intel i7-8700K
g - Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1070
r - 2x8GB Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL=17
s - SSD Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
p - EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W
C - Fractal Design Focus G

00. Does the build look solid to you, and will it handle 1440p gaming and 1080p streaming?

01. I want to pick the best CPU cooler for the job. I have a budget of 60, no more than 70 dollars. My main purpose is 1440p gaming and 1080 streaming. I plan to overclock a little. Priorities are definitely enough airflow that the chip won't burn itself to death and me with it, and secondly, please, let it be quiet. A lot of airflow + silence usually can't go hand in hand, I am smart enough to know that, but still, I need good suggestions.

02. Will I be able to sync the RGB lighting of GPU and RAM?

03. Is the case too small for the graphics card? Strix is pretty huge. PCPartPicker says green light.

04. Is the 750W overkill? Considering you need about 40% leeway, the small price increase up from 650W and that I want it future-proof, I think I'm good with that.

05. Is 1070Ti worth the extra money?

06. Do I need a better case? I really hope not. It's super cheap, minimalistically pretty and well built, so I've heard. Easy to build in too.

I am quite new to all this PC building, so thread lightly (pun intended). Hope thats not too much of thinking for you. Hoping for some good replies!

anything from here that fits by look/cash is a lot more than you need.
03. if PCsays ok then you should be fine. sometimes its hard to mount as you have 1cm left to put hand inside....
04.750 vs 650 is not a lot different. Choose a better deal here or higher ranking (bronze, gold, etc) 650 W should work with any single card

00> If you're putting that 8700k on a budget Z370, make sure to include fans around the CPU socket region to provide extra airflow to the MB's VRM or you may not have a system for long.

01> Here's your go to CPU cooler guide, with regard to price-to-performance:
a) Strict budget - > Deepcool GAMMAX 400
b) OK budget - > Scythe Fuma / Mugen 5
c) Want more cooling than (b), your next level up is an CLC/AIO.
The other options really are just for either looks, brand loyalty, specifics limitation imposed by the case size and/or availability in your region.

(a) GAMMAX 400 is solid performance and limited noise so long it doesn't have to run at its max fan speed.
(b) the Fuma is performance oriented, while the Mugen 5 is noise oriented (and better compatibility with tall RAM like the TridentZ RGB in your build).
(c) Compare to the few best, and most expensive, air tower, the Fuma already representing 97-99% their performance. So at the price bracket above the Fuma, unless you really must stick to air tower, you'll be much better served by going to a 240mm All-in-One/Close-loop-liquid-cooler (which is the largest size supported in the Focus G, which would be a fairly tight fit).

03> There's no problem with fitting the STRIX into the Focus G. The STRIX is ~298mm long and the Focus G can support graphic card 380mm long.

04> Unless you're looking at SLI-ing the 1070, you may want to go for a 650W version instead. Your 8700k+1070 are going to draw like 370W and a GTX1080ti-tier upgrade would only increase the power draw by another ~120W.

05> Really depends on what you want to do. But given that the Pascal generation is already 2 years old at this point, I personally don't recommend trying to overspent for "future proofing" because the "future" for the Pascal gen is already here.

06> The Focus G is pretty good for the hardware. It has a mesh front to help facilitate better airflow inside the case for cooling the CPU+GPU and therefore is actually better than a good chunk of more expensive case with closed/solid front. But again, for the usage of the 8700k with that MB, you'll want at least one more 120mm fan for the rear or top mount.

00 - Should I place some more in or out fans?
01 - I am going to stick with aircooling. Would BeQuiet Shadow Rock Slim be okay with that high-profile RAM?
02 - Is there maybe an RGB software that supports syncing together different brand parts? Like Strix + Trident Z?

What is the max budget you plan on spending

It's kinda pointless to speak of my budget, because I am from Slovenia and here it's hard to get anything as cheap as you could in the States, so you won't get any good ideas of how to help me with that. Prices vary extremely across the whole planet, so yeah. I'm at around 1300€ with this build at the moment.

00> you'll want an exhaust fan, at least, because just the positive air pressure from the front fans alone isn't going to expel heat fast enough for a 8700k and GTX1070 combo.

01> the Shadow Rock Slim shouldn't cause any issue with the tall RAM. I don't know about availability in your country, but if possible, I'd recommend the Scythe Mugen 5 over the Shadow Rock Slim.

On Toms' test setup with the i7 5930k 6c/12t 4.2Ghz@1.2V, the Mugen 5 both cools better and is quieter than the Shadow Rock.

The Mugen 5's KazeFlex fan @ 100% PWM (1250rpm) is just barely louder than the Shadow Rock's fan @ 50% PWM (780rpm) 20.8 dbA vs 18.1 dbA; while at this setting the Mugen is more than 10 degrees better in cooling performance.

At 50% PWM (600rpm) the Mugen 5 is the quietest cooler ever tested at toms, 12.2 dbA, beating some other coolers well known for being quiet like the bequiet Dark Rock 3 Pro @ 18.7-36 dbA, DR4P @ 18.7-20.6 dbA, Noctua NH-U14S @ 18.6-28.6 dbA.

02> Unfortunately, there's no standard when it come to RGB stuff.

Okay, noted! Mugen 5 is not available, it's 30€ more expensive here and it doesn't really match my build, aesthetically speaking. Any good alternatives? H5 Universal or R1 Universal maybe? Or is that an overkill?
