After saving up all my pennies, I'm looking to buy a new system for gaming. I know it's like, the worst time in history to be doing it, but I've already put it off for years, and it's not likely to get better anytime soon. The one I'm looking at seems good, but I'd like some opinions from the pros here about if it's a good build and how long it's likely to go before needing any real upgrades.

CPU/Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core/24-Thread 7nm Processor
GPU/Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080Ti
RAM: 32GB DDR4 (2x8GB) G.Skill 3200Mhz
Storage: 250GB M.2 SSD (5X Faster than regular SSD)
Motherboard: Aorus/Asus B550M Depending on availability
PowerSupply: 850W Gold

OS: Windows 10 Pro

I'd look at Intel 12 gen if your build is primarily for gaming. Pair this cpu up with a B660 or H670 board and a set of DDR4 3200mhz or 3600mhz RAM.

Go with W11.

I figure you already have larger storage option available. In time even an OS drive that small might be problematic if you are not managing storage in specific ways. (I also use a 250 class OS drive)

IMO and of the last couple of generation R7/9 i7/9 should readily stay usable for the next 6-ish years, maybe more. We cannot say for sure what the future will bring for computing. Loads of good things going on.

The GPU selected should easily stay relevant the next 5 or so years so long as you are willing to decrease eye candy as time goes on. Plenty of people out there still using 9 series cards and 5xx cards.
