The audio volume on my new PC build is about half of my last PC which was a Dell 7050T.

The build is on a ASRock B660M motherboard and I didn't add a sound card. I've installed the current Realtek audio drivers from the ASRock site but that didn't bring the volume up at all. The volume is turned all the way up in settings.

I'm using headphones and the issue is on both the front audio port and the rear. The volume is even lower when plugged into the rear audio port.

Is there some settings I'm missing to bring the system volume up?

Which specific B660M is it?

At a quick glance there's 4 different models I find.

Some more things to consider:

Are the headphones you're using have any standalone volume controls as well?

Check audio drivers for updates ?

Try disabling Audio enhancements if there are any on. ( Sound Settings > Playback devices > Right click on device > Properties > Enchancements tab > check disable all enhancements box )

Sometimes individual apps could be low volume as well, try opening the Volume Mixer

You could try running the Audio troubleshooter ( settings > update & security > troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters > Playing Audio

It is is difficult to fully assess the issue, could you give me some more information about your machine?

OS Version, Model or type of headphones/speakers/headset, etc ?
