I want to take all my games from my old PC hardrive and put it on my new hd. I'm going to have a new hardrive and SSD, can I transfer windows to the SSD and the games to the hardrive? And how would I transfer all of it?

Solution

Assuming your Win 10 has been upgraded to the Anniversary release of last August, and you link it from the old system while it is still running, yes.
Then install fresh on the new system.
It will fail to activate, due to the new motherboard.
This is when you go through the Activation Troubleshooter. "I recently changed major hardware" (or words to that effect)

First off...what OS is this?
Second, do you plan to use both systems, or just the new one?

I currently have Windows 10 and I'm only going to be using the new build

OK...does the original PC still run?
If so, then read and do this before you do anything with the hardware:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3164428/windows-build-1607-activation.html

This will link the OS license to your Microsoft account, enabling it to be transferred to new motherboard.

So this will let me transfer my windows license to my new harddrive?
