New PC Build ,Keyboard not responding to F1-12

So hey guys! I just built a new pc and one i firsy turned it on a screen turned on showing the Asrock Lable and then the options on the bottm right. (Ill provide a picture) When I try pressing f11 for boot menu nothing happens and in pressing all the keys on my keyboards and when i pressed "esc"a screen showed boot and select proper Boot device Insert Boot Media in Selected Boot device and press a key ,When I press a key nothing happens.Please Help!

Have you installed the OS? The install disk, flash drive or whatever is the boot media.

You didn't say what keyboard you have, but since it's the function keys not working, I'm betting there is a key that is something like F mode. This key allows the function keys to double as media keys. These normally default to the media functions, hit this key first and then use your function keys (F1 - F12).

also put the keyboard into the black usb 2.0 port. also use a hard wired if you have one. some wireless ones dont post so that you can hit the bios key and have the mb see it before it posts.

go in to bios and search for something keyboard than allow media keys something like this enable
i had this problem on old PC
